International airfares, travel and medical insurance, personal spending money, visas, passports, vaccinations, personal taxes (including departure and border taxes) all optional activities, unscheduled or optional national / game parks and other activities, gratuities, restaurant meals and all other items of a personal nature, all drinks. There will be no guides accompanying the clients to Zanzibar.

Enjoy 5 nights on the delightful and breathtaking Island of Zanzibar. Relax on the pearly white beaches of the east coast and explore old Stone Town following the winding streets steeped in intriguing history.

PRE DEPARTURE INFORMATION:

Most clients will be doing a transfer from Arusha to Dar es Salaam after their Kenya or Tanzania safari. They will be taking a local bus and the journey is approximately 9 hours. The Zanzibar Spice tour is an extension. It can be done following either the module Explore Tanzania, or the Best of Kenya and Tanzania Safari.

The Zanzibar Spice can also be booked as a separate tour. When booking this tour separately, the clients will have to pre-pay the local payment. clients doing this tour separately can also book a direct flight to Dar es Salaam. Most client’s arrive in Dar es Salaam a few days prior to the official start date. Your operator can organize any accommodation or activities you may require if you want to arrive early or stay on in Africa after your tour ends. Please contact us for assistance.

If you have any questions regarding arrival prior to the tour or any other questions whatsoever, please contact your operator. If you are unable to attend the pre departure meeting, please let your operator know at least one week prior to your departure.

DAY 1: Dar es Salaam

If clients are doing the Zanzibar Spice as an extension, clients will be dropped off at Dar Express Terminal in Arusha. clients will travel approximately 9 hours on this public bus, stops are limited so clients must please take drinks and lunch. A representative of the hotel will meet you at the end point in Dar and transfer you to your hotel. The hotel reservation staff will check you into your hotel upon arrival. The rest of the day is at you leisure. All meals are to you own expense.

If you book this tour separately, you can book a direct flight to Dar es Salaam and a transfer will be arranged from the airport to the hotel.

DAYS 2 - 6: Zanzibar

Transfer from Safari Inn to pier. 10h00 departure by ferry to Zanzibar, arriving on the island at approx.. 12h10. a local representative will collect you from the pier in Zanzibar and will take you to your hotel. He will arrange a time with the group to meet in the afternoon. Your 5 night stay in Zanzibar is at your leisure, and you can choose from a host of optional excursions in town and surrounds. DAY 7: Dar es Salaam, End of Tour

Transfer to pier. 07h00 departure by ferry to Dar es Salaam, arriving on the mainland approximately 10h00.
