International airfares, travel and medical insurance, personal spending money, visas, passports, vaccinations, personal taxes (including departure and border taxes) all optional activities, unscheduled or optional national / game parks and other activities, gratuities, sleeping bag if required, restaurant meals and all other items of a personal nature. Windhoek to Victoria Falls:

‘Your journey begins in Windhoek, capital city of Namibia.

Navigate the winding streams and isolated lagoons of the Okavango Delta. Sit back and relax as your guide gently poles your "makoro" through these clear waters. Get up close and personal with some of the most exciting creatures on earth. Join the adrenaline junkies at Victoria Falls.

Be insane for a day as you jump off bridges or boogie board head-first down the immense rapid runs of the Zambezi. Sit tight as you witness the Falls from a micro-light aircraft or take it easy on an upper Zambezi River cruise and watch the African bush go gently on by’.

PRE DEPARTURE INFORMATION:

Most clients arrive a few days prior to the official start day. This is to give them plenty of time to enjoy all that Windhoek has to offer. Your operator can organise any accommodation or activities you may require if you want to arrive early or stay on in Africa after your tour ends. Please contact us for assistance.

On Day 2, clients should meet at AREBBUSCH TRAVEL LODGE, Auas Road, Wondhoek. Tel: (++264 61) 252255, at 11h00am, for the pre departure briefing and depart immediately thereafter. The meeting will cover all the aspects of the trip. For this briefing, you will need: your passport with relevant visa's and evidence of medical and personal insurance. Please also bring the Local Payment. This must be paid to the tour leader prior to departure and must be paid in US$ Cash. The local payment is required to cover a wide variety of our on-tour expenses, which can include National Park entrance fees, excursions and activities, certain fresh foods, vehicle tolls and entrance fees, as well as some accommodation costs whilst travelling throughout Africa. The local payment is that portion of the tour cost which must be paid in cash to the tour leader at the pre departure meeting.

If you have any questions regarding arrival prior to the tour or any other questions whatsoever, please contact your operator. If you are unable to attend the pre departure meeting, please let your operator know at least one week prior to your departure.

DAY 1 – Windhoek

Day at your leisure in Windhoek to enjoy all that this modern city has to offer. All meals at your own expense.

DAY 2 – Gobabis (240 km)

After the pre departure meeting we travel towards the border between Namibia and Botswana and to Gobabis where we will overnight at a private game farm. Breakfast and lunch. Dinner will be for your own account.

DAY 3 – Maun (516 km)

We wake up early for our departure for the border post to Botswana. Once all the formalities have been completed we will head for Maun, which is the gateway to the amazing Okavango Delta. We will prepare for the following days to come and be briefed by your guides on what to take into the Delta. Pack a small overnight bag with necessary clothes for 2 days. Your operator will provide all catering equipment and all foods. Our lodge is just outside the center of Maun. Although a small town, Maun has several shops, good communications and banks. Breakfast and lunch. Dinner will be for your own account.

DAYS 4 & 5 – Okavango Delta

An early morning pickup awaits us where will be transferred to the airstrip for a light charter flight to the Delta. Your tented camp is located deep in the Delta, and you can participate in game walks, and mokoro safaris. Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

DAY 6 – Nata (300 km)

After breakfast we are taken by charter flight to Maun. We depart Maun, heading east towards Nata. Situated 10 km from Nata Town, our lodge has a large swimming pool, curio shop and restaurant. The birdlife in this area is particularly spectacular, due to the nearby Makgadikgadi Pans and Nata Sanctuary. Breakfast and lunch. Dinner will be for your own account.

DAY 7 – Chobe National Park (302 km)

We depart Nata and head for Kasane and our lodge on the banks of the Chobe River. We will arrive around midday – In time for an included afternoon sunset game viewing cruise on the Chobe River. The fabulous Chobe National Park is famous for its huge herds of elephant and your guided river cruise should provide excellent sightings of elephant, hippo, crocodile, and an impressive array of birds and plains game. There is a swimming pool, restaurant, curio shop and bar at the lodge. On Day 8 you will have a few hours at leisure in the morning for an optional game drive in Chobe National Park or indulge yourself at the hotel's health spa. Lunch. DAYS 8 & 9 – Victoria Falls (90 km)

A short drive from Chobe takes us to the spectacular Victoria Falls – one of the ‘seven natural wonders’ of the world. You are free to explore it at your leisure. Take a sundowner cruise or enjoy hoards of other adventure activities. Our lodge is close to all the bars, restaurants and hot spots for that last big splurge. Breakfast. Lunch and dinner will be for your own account.
