Gorilla SafarisGorilla Safaris

View the endangered Mountain Gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei but sometimes wrongly classed as Gorilla gorilla beringei) while you can. The gorillas families are currently being guarded by troops around their distant perimeter to protect this endangered species. Only an estimates 600 mountain/forest gorillas are left in the wild. If you want to view some of the estimated 8000 Eastern Lowland Gorillas, just sign up as a mercenary in the DRC.  The actual viewing of the gorillas will only be for 30 min to 1 hour as the gorilla guides do not want to intrude onto gorilla space more than necessary. The trips will be to either Zaire or Uganda, depending on what gorilla permits was obtained 6 months or more before. Gorilla permits are always extra - Gorilla Trek US$250-US$375pp

Mountain gorillas live in the Virunga Volcano region of Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Bwindi gorillas inhabit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda.
Grauer's gorillas inhabit eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
