Drakensberg

The Central Peak area of the Drakensberg has some of the most prominent  and most often photographed peaks in the world. The Cathedral Peak area is one of the richest flora areas in the world. Certainly this is so if you consider the number and variety of flowers to be found here.  There are about 120 of the roughly 200 known plant orders in the world to be found in the Drakensberg. Animals to be seen include Red Hartebeest, Blesbok, Black Wildebeest. Inhabiting predators include the Lynx and Leopard.
