Now 5 Day Namibia ‘South’
Windhoek to Windhoek

This trip starts and finishes in Windhoek and travels through large and diverse areas of Namibia.

Please note that this trip starts on Thursday at Windhoek, early morning. Should you wish to spend extra time there an earlier arrival should be planned and additional accommodation booked.

Pre Departure Meeting: Held at the departure point at 5:00pm the day before your departure.

Check In Time: 8:45am
Departure Time: 9:30am

DAY 1:
From Windhoek travel south west and enter the 23000 square kilometre Namib-Naukluft National Park. This park encompasses a large proportion of the Namib Desert and is home to the 'sand dune sea' of Sossusvlei and Sesriem. At Sossusvlei experience the serenity of standing amid the largest sand dunes in the world, some towering 300 metres above you. This is an unforgettable place to watch a sunset, view the sunrise and explore the unique area on foot. (ld)

DAYS 2 - 4:
From Sesriem we travel through the eerie Kuiseb Canyon and travel to the Atlantic coastline and the oasis town of Swakopmund, Namibia's prime holiday resort. Founded in 1892 during German colonial rule, the town retains its distinct colonial character and boasts many fine buildings as well as excellent restaurants, bars, coffee shops and art and craft outlets. It is also Namibia's adventure capital and offers many excellent options such as sand boarding, quad biking, skydiving, deep-sea fishing and pleasure flights. (bld)

DAY 5:
Today is an easy one as we board a coach for the drive to Windhoek and tours end. (b)
